Providence

From the Webster 1828 dictionary:

Providence - the care and superintendence which God exercises over his creatures

I love this word. It's a big word that, to me, describes a part of God's character. I witness Him provide for our family in a small way today.

Things are rather tight for us this month. Not that we're destitute or anything, but they are tighter than usual. We always have enough for food and such. But we're getting to the point where we need to purchase the remainder of our school curriculum. I was just introduced to a new writing curriculum that seems perfect for our family. It fits my personality and I can use it for every child at every level. It was going to cost us a bit to get it though. I was reminded this morning that vegsource exists on the web. I checked it out and someone was selling the curriculum for $20!!! What are the chances? They also listed it for the 2nd time this morning. It's mine!!! Yea God!!!!!

He's been so wonderful in His provision for us since Underdog ventured out on his own to start a business. Much like the widow with Elisha, the oil just keeps coming. When it seems that somehow we're running out, there it is. He's even provided the means for us to purchase a new van to fit our growing family (growing in stature not number.) It will lower our car payments as well.

He never seizes to provide for our needs. It's so exciting to trust the Father to provide for us. Truly, there is no other way to be happy than trusting in Him.
